    Hi All,
I used to be on the slow release ring, but then I decided ( because I like to give my mind challenges ) to go ahead and switch to the fast branch. So far...so good !

The Slow ring is a bit meh at the moment, nothing really going on there. Fast is best.

Fast and Skippy both went nice and smooth.

I had booted up Fast and walked away for about 20 minutes. When I came back, I had this. Didn't touch a thing. Looks like it did all the Getting Ready, and the Download in the background, and was ready to Install. Along with every WHQL tested driver that was on the workbench! MS jammed it full of goodies for Bug Bash next week.

None as such, you just have to be aware that something bad might happen at some point and worst case you might need to do a reinstall. Go into it with your eyes open (so have backup plan and your data safe) and you should enjoy the ride. That said, my experiences have been very positive and little quirks and issues that have arisen I've found interesting.

It's not a good idea to use a Fast Ring build as your daily driver because it can and will fail at some stage. If you have an old machine that is the best thing to use. Alternatives are dual booting or running in a VM.
Thanks for the replies, i have been wondering about it some time now if i should try to see what it is. I don't have a old machine standing arround, so it is VM for me

No problems with this update. Download&Install took about 20 minutes, and another 10-15 for the offline install portion.

It seems that Microsoft is already testing 20H2 or 21H1 builds internally:

Microsoft working to release the first builds of Windows 10 21H1 [Build 19480+]

And, according to WalkingCat, Sets is back in those builds.

Not to be disagreeable, but I've run fast ring as my daily driver for years now. I do have a dual boot of an exact replica on another drive however, just in case. But other than a few hiccups once in a long while, I've not had many problems to gripe about. It usually runs very smoothly for me. But I don't update them at the same time. I usually leave the other drive's version on the older version for a while, until I'm convinced that the newer one is stable enough to update the other one. Cheers!

Before getting involved in the insider program, I recommend you read this carefully:

    Windows Insider Program Agreement

Unfortunately many "insiders" around here never bothered to read it
