    Thought I'd try this new version, working very well. Updated via Windows update went very quick. Whole process around 30 minutes.

    Paint is great to read and change .emf files created in MS Office apps. Any other program I've tried has problems with those files..

    emf files are vector graphics. I'm surprised paint opens them but it does. Inkscape can edit them as well as LibreOffice Draw.

    Yes, but this is really weird emf created in Office programs (I like Powerpoint to make some quick graphics) are not well supported in Inkscape or other graphic programs.. Paint opens them perfectly

    It's a Microsoft proprietary format they are best placed to know how to open them.
