I think this may explain the strange things I had, two recovery partitions. I ended up deleting both of them. My MR was trying to save a 70Gb image. Now it is normal.

Late to the party, but a successful update at first attempt, but very slow ~ 2 hours.

    Hello Steven,

It's no longer on my lock screen either in build 18980.

    Hi folks

was it ever there in the first place --- !! Obviously if people miss it. I can't say I ever noticed it though.

However I can't help feeling that if you lock your computer then it should be locked !!! so I actually can't see the point of having any open functionality (including a search bar) on a lock screen --the only thing that you should be able to do is hit enter and then get presented with your login screen.

Maybe I'm just being obtuse here but it does seem a logical decision to eliminate the search bar from the lock screen to me.

    Cheers

Lock Screen queries don't process until after you enter your PIN.

    Quite pointless, in my opinion!
Probably why they removed the feature!

Yeah like 90% of the rubbish MS adds to updates for only 10% of users who use it... in other-words MS added BS.
