Yes. It makes it hard for M$ but don't feel too sorry for them because they are now the most valuable company in the world.

Right now Windows update is installing and is showing 63% installing. Keeping my fingers crossed.

    Hi there
I thought that the biggest company was still the C.I.A (known as "The Company") --Its known budget is huge and its unkown /secret / black ops budget can't even begin to be guessed at -- only problem is while it has several million shareholders t (The U.S taxpayer !!! ) it unfortunately doesn't pay out dividends whereas Ms does (and quite decent ones if you have any stock in it).

That said I do think the way they introduced the updates and methodology of these rings was totally idiotic -- if you've got totally different hardware with different components of the OS how in the world can you ever test anything. In Engineering / Science you start with a definite fixed environment and then see how that plays out in different scenarios and adjust accordingly -- I.E same OS, same components and see what happens when run on different machines. Calling an OS the same build and release but offering different components is just stupidly bonkers not only for the developers but also the users.

I think Ms is gradually putting itself back together after the departure of B.Gates and the fiasco that was Windows 8 but these huge organisations have a really big momentum and take a while to turn around.

The feedback loop needs to be broken down into more manageable bits -- if you've got 100,000's of messages every day in no discernable threaded order it's going to be total chaos and unless there's an overwhelmingly obvious problem effecting a huge number of users a load of things will just get missed.

    Cheers

All done in around 55 minutes. It seems to be hammering the Windows Search Filter Host and rebuilding the index. Can't really say I have noticed this on other builds.
