One problem however is that M$ doesn't listen to Insiders or Outsiders = only 'Softies. When is the last time D,S, - the ostensible head of the Insiders, has posted here about anything. Last thing I saw from her was a post on Twitter showing everybody her bad form with a punching bag.

Seems like this is going to be a common occurrence now for me, 2 tries where 1st one reverts and 2nd try has no issues. On 2nd attempt and checking for updates, [Download] was already waiting, took about 15 minutes and installing another 15 minutes. To say the least, don't understand why this happens??

Any suggestions as to why my update history retains older versions. I would like to be able to find a solution.

Mine does too. It goes all the way back to 18945. Guess that's the way it works now.

I've noticed the retained update history for the first time today. It never happened before this build.

Also new to me is an 'optional updates' clicky which brings up a right assortment of stuff. How on earth is anyone supposed to have a clue what to install (if anything). I've had no issues and so won't be trying.

    Hi there @Kari

I've no problems with Office 2019 activation on this build !! (on 3 computers).

I think perhaps the Ms people who've blocked your account should take a leaf out of Star trek's series

Star trek Voyager with SevenofNine (mega nice female in the series) making one of the most memorial statements still remembered today.

Here's a bit of her biog.

Seems a lot of problems people have just don't exist on my systems whether VM's or physical machines.

The main issue I have (probably regular readers of this section have read it "ad nauseam" ) is the whole language management system. where half the stuff works and a whole load of other stuff gives you bits and pieces of mixed languages -- amazing when it's been working OK in the standard 1903 build for "Donkeys Years" !!

Office 2019 is working fine for me --on this build --however it was a VL license so how that effects the issue --no idea.

Can post screenshot later -- am on a Linux Host at the moment while I've got 3 Windows machines currently going through their updates.

    Cheers

I haven't had a problem at all with fast, but it always takes a second try with skippy. If I forget to reboot skippy between tries, the second time doesn't work either.
