So for these builds the GUI is busted and GPedit is the only way around? Or the Reg?

So in the TUT Shawn mentions that
System Restore is enabled by default in Windows.
which kind of implies that its one of these settings that doesn't carry through the upgrade process. The custom reg file I use for fonts and so on doesn't either, that has to reapplied each build.

The funny thing is though, I never had this restore point issue until a few builds ago.

    One for tomorrow

I have no idea. I have no restore points ... 0 bytes used. Have to check policy - could be that once upon a time I disabled something

Edit: I have neither Group policy setting is not configured, and reg entry isn't there..
This is on Skip ahead version.

That's exactly what I was gonna bring up if that was the cure. VSS gives MR and other backup apps a static picture of the OS, no moving targets.

Sorry, had no idea. Was looking to find an explanation for why I'm not affected with restore points.

Hey,not a problem at all, Andre. Actually, a benefit, cause we got to post why not to do that in case someone else was thinking it. Appreciate you throwing that out.
