    >>Yes, thank you. I could swear it was a red M not blank but will attend to it.

!Whoa! Now it reappeared -did someone do that for me- I just closed and it appeared.

I normally run audio at 16bit 44khz w/o any enhancements and I just checked speaker properties and it was reset to 24bit 48khz.
So I reverted to CD quality.

Even with all that I didn't have any issues with this update, search and start menu work ok.

I did have problem with last one when I had web search disabled with Bing.

All audio chipsets run natively at 48 khz because Intel adopted 48 khz to be the sample rate for the AC97 audio system in 1997. There is a protocol to send 13 frames of blank data for every 160 frames of data to retain bit perfect 44.1 khz CD.

There is no reason to mess with default data rate.

My audio Interface blocked the changes made in this update to audio. I hooked it up to the equipment to hear any difference and it's running studio quality with the same soundscape. Also I don't see issues with Start (knock on wood*).

My Win 10 is currently version 18362.295.

Why am I not offered this latest update?

Every time I manually check updates it states that I'm up to date, which is odd compared that all previous updates were available on the release dates.

    Hi folks

I think I've changed my mind about the Black theme -- seems fine -- I'm on 1909 18363.356 rather than 18362.356 and W10 Pro (x-64) for workstations.

Off topic, but man that green is giving me a nerd boner, can you screenshot your command prompt "properties" windows, if you don't mind... curious on your settings/color values.
Here's for your nerdgasm needs. I think these are the settings he use:
