    winver still says

Action center is not working after KB4515384.

Tried disabling and enabling it, no help.

Right click and Open action center does not work either.

There are three updates on my system, this cumulative update, a flash player update and a .NET Framework update. No malicious software removal tool updates?. Normally they always appear together.
Maybe the Windows Defender platform update last month removed the need for a Malicious Software Removal Tool. We may never see it as a stand-alone again, which is fine with me.

all went well and search seems to work at first then after about 20 to 30min i cant search anymore my start menu slows down considerably and i cant do anything!!!

When i start typing nothing happens in the start menu...

I have already done the registry fixes from last patch that stuffed things up and also tried the replacing of the cache files in cortana as per last time... ran O&O SHUTUP 10 but nothing seems to fix this...

Anyone having similar issues and any ideas as to what to do to sort this out.

    thanking you in advance.

I had similar sounding issues - and similar sounding attempts to fix etc - and then ran DSIM Scan/Restore Health on .356 which corrected the issue(s).
Then set my 'usual' reg tweaks & Shutup10 etc back to how I like em.. all good now.

    Hope this helps a bit.

I think we will. MSRT website has note: No update is available for September 2019.

The monthly Malicious Software Removal Tool download/scan has not found anything...ever. Is this the first month you can recall not receiving the MSR tool? It's the first time for me.

Windows Defender has improved significantly in what it identifies.

These 3 updates installed within 5 minutes and reboot took 3-4 minutes. As always, everything is normal for me. CPU usage is same as before.

Odd this version wasn't included today...
Also at this link under 'Details' is this stand alone scanner that I'd never heard of.
