I've quite often experienced that when trying to close and relaunch FF if I do that quickly enough.
Me too - FF seems to take a few seconds to shut down all its processes.

I've noticed the same as well, with Firefox. Also just noticed an update to FF to 69.0.1, Hope it takes care of that issue

    Firefox 68-69 Shutdown Issue

    @Ray14120 @sgage,@dalchina

Thanks for confirming this issue that is also present with the new release 69.0.1. In fact, the popup arises when we close FF and we reopen it quickly. Working with exit, shutdown and old in about:config with no success. We were able to remove, the popup, but FF becomes unstable.

I've seen that on several occasions, not only after THIS update but before that even. Or it's the update itself or FF that has a bug and that's not fixed.

Adding to the list of issues here...

After installing this update, some programs, and installers immediately crash on launch. They are listed below:

Bluestacks Android Emulator - launches, then displays error "Could not start Engine"
Bluestacks installer - Launches (shows in task manager), but immediately crashes, with no window, or error messages
Logitech options - Same as Bluestacks installer
Logitech options installer - same as bluestacks installer
Age of Empires II (2013) - Launcher runs. Click "Play" in launcher, and game immediately crashes to desktop.

Event viewer pegs d3d9.dll as the cause of all of these crashes. uninstalling the update resolves this particular issue, allowing these programs to run normally, after reboot.

Does anyone know if the next CU is v1909? They (media outlets) say it's supposed to come out this September, but it's only 12 days left, so I don't understand. I need to prepare backups etc before that day, so it would be good to know if it will actually come out this month or not.

Although it's named 1909, no feature update has ever been released in the month in which the final code was fixed. Usually it's at least a month later after it has been through the Release Preview ring, 1903 was not released until 21s May. 1909 is currently still with the Insiders in both the slow ring and release preview. To get an idea of the progress towards 1909's release, keep an eye on the 19H2 news threads. When? My guess would be late October, early November.

A new approach from MS is that 1909 is intended to be delivered as a CU rather than a full install as with previous feature updates.

    Microsoft said:
As John Cable mentioned in July, we will be delivering 19H2 to customers using our servicing technology (just like the monthly update process) for customers running the May 2019 Update (19H1).

As such, I would expect it to be classed as an optional CU, with an associated 'Download and install now' link. Hopefully you should have plenty of warning and time to prepare for it.

I know we are going a bit off topic here, but any idea for why would they go with a CU approach this time?
Don't get me wrong, i prefer it this way.
