Installed 18975.1000 in about 45 minutes from WU. Installed on first try with no discernable errors.

I actually had something similar occur with 18970 on my Lenovo laptop - after it figured out that it was already installed and disappeared, I didn't worry about it.
@Brink,
It appears that has already happened in the past and MS has never given a clear explanation about the matter.
KB4494441 for Windows 10 version 1809 may install twice - gHacks Tech NewsIn certain situations, installing an update requires multiple download and restart steps. If two intermediate steps of the installation complete successfully, the View your Update history page will report that installation completed successfully twice.It appears, at least from the update description, that the update is offered twice in some situations only. In other words, not all customers appear to be affected by this.

Hi Gang,
Downloaded & installed (or so i thought!) 18975.1000 this afternoon.
After a loooonnnggg install (or so i thought!), finally the pop-up said i needed to reboot to finish installation.
Rebooted, expecting it to do the install to 100% but instead, it booted back into the original Windows version i had! Rebooted again, same thing. Please note: i was using MiniTool to install which reported In Progress 0x80242014. The official description for the error is "WU_E_UH_POSTREBOOTSTILLPENDING: The post-reboot operation for the update is still in progress." I even shutdown the computer, left it off for 10 minutes, restarted, but again, it booted into the original version prior to trying to update! I ran the MiniTool again which brought up the Insider Preview again which i restarted the download which completed very quickly (because it is already downloaded) as well did the install (because it was supposedly installed) It again said i needed to reboot. Back to original version, not the preview version. Checked MiniTool, same result, HOWEVER, the date had changed to TOMORROW??!!
I did a Google search which suggests to run Troubleshooter for Win Updates which i did but it found no problems.
HELP PLS!!
