Late to this game - had other games to worry about (local HS football that is).

Firing up the laptops to take them.

    What a fight.

First, over day and a half to get 18965 to 18970 upgrade to work. Gave finally up, deployed a custom, clean 18965 image when it became clear upgrade was not possible, and that 18970 simply did not work on my laptop, not even as clean install.

Just when 18965 booted to dsktop, everything working, build 18975 was released. A few failed attempts to upgrade, no luck. Now, after second day of the fight, finally on 18975 desktop, using hours today to build custom deployment image.

Tired but satisfied. Everything working, no issues.

Sometimes being insomniac is a positive thing. PAst two nights, I have slept about two hours a night. More time to fight Insider issues.

It seems like they have ironed out a few of the previous several weeks releases wrinkles in this weeks build.

Installed for me on the first go round and has been behaving well so far. Will post back if I find anything wrong.

    peace

Doing it when you are tired is not a good idea. Easy to make bad decisions.

Cortana packed her bags and left..., again!

The mouse hover flyout of the left side of the Start Menu is back!

Other than that, things are tolerable!

Must take a break now, anyway. Power went out 10 minutes ago, whole street is dark. it's past 22:00 on Saturday evening, this can take lonh.

Laptop battery for about 4 hours. My really good UPS is in basement, I have been thining to bring it up and start using it the past year, but always decided "I'll do it tomorrow".

    Hi there

    @Kari

well done you got it all working.

still can't understand why you had so much trouble with this build - worked really easily for me on 2 machines -- a VM and a physical machine -- updated from 1005 build.

perhaps with your power outages we could export stuff from Iceland -- we've power to spare coming out of our "lugholes" -- no nasty Nuclear etc -- hydro, thermal and geothermal --we could probably supply half of N.Europe if the exporting cabling and infrastructure were available !!!! -- a scheme for 1600 KM length of power cables from Iceland to North Scotland was put on hold by UK govt (not the Scottish Executive BTW who are still very much interested) to save money instead to pay for a huge mega expensive nuclear power station being built by Chinese -- Hinkley point in Somerset S.W England) which will give UK the world's most expensive energy on the planet -- and haven't people seen that excellent series on Netflix -- Chernobyl !!!

just been watching Euro 2020 qualifiers (football -- the real game played with the round ball) and a bit "boozed " after Iceland 3-0 win !!!

@johngalt -- Real football where players actually have to kick the ball --- Euro 2020 qualifiers !!!

Look how tight this group is !!!! Tuesday next game in this group should make it clearer got an away ticket for Iceland vs Albania on Tuesday -- will be in Tirana (Albania) on Tuesday for a critical match in this group.

Goodnight folks happy and a bit "boozed" !!!!

    Cheers
