    Hi folks
installed fine from UUPDUMP -- actually quickest download and iso creation for some time. Upgraded easily from previous release 1005.

Testing it as a VM (VMware) on a linux host --itself with latest kernel 5.3 and kde wayland plasma - also in "beta mode" so a bit bonkers testing this release on a machine itself which is running beta stuff.

However the kde wayland is so much snippier than other GUI's I've had on the host desktop that the windows VM is quite snappy -- mind you haven't done exhaustive tests on it yet -- any windows defects I get on this machine I'll see if I can replicate on a physical native machine.

    Cheers

Three failed tries. This must be the most depressing message ever shown to an Insider:

Count yourself lucky, it took me 4 tries and only worked after using the WU troubleshooter. MS seem to be regressing.

I'm not sure on this Snip and Sketch thing.

Pressing Windows Key + Shift + S opens the app OK. Clicking my Snip and Sketch shortcut opens the app and just brings up the message about what to do. The only way from there is to click 'New' up at the top left.

Is it broken/faulty or not? It all seems to work OK.
This is how it's supposed to be. Working OK for you.
    Only couple of users affected.

Edit: not only a couple..Feedback is full of it

    Hi there @Kari

You must be really unlucky with your updates currently --goodness knows what you've got installed on your machine(s) to fail these updates -- the last 2 builds have worked perfectly for me including the main defect you had before -- Windows admin centre and the GSOD .

Installs perfectly as a VM on VMWare under experimental latest Linux kernel and expiremental wayland KDE plasma GUI on Linux Host and bog standard install on a physical machine -- both machines updated from previous release -- I'll see which one breaks first.

Might be because I'm using Workstations rather than standard Pro edition -- could be more robust --who knows.

Installed both machines via iso created from UUPDUMP.

Only Beef is Language again hosed up but I expect that on these builds so I'm not too bothered. menu is half and half -- really bonkers -- but Office 2019 in lang isl is OK.

Build seems to run really fast even on VM so I'm happy !!! and it's Saturday too -- Beer time.

@AndreTen no problem launching new snipping app with key combos on UK Eng extended keyboard, does nothing though on Icelandic keyboard -- not bothered though as the language feature seems totally hosed on this build I'm reverting to 100% GB eng until fixed !!!!!

    Cheers

Thanks for that @jimbo45. It works with ENG keyboard (after restart)

Actually, now it works with Slovenian keyboard too.

So, add an ENG keyboard solves this problem (forgot, I have to restart and try with different keyboard again...)

Edit... it survived restart, and is working with any keyboard now..

Made a thread about it. Jimbo, drop by, so I can say thank you

Sounds like yours is OK, Mooly.

I have my Snip & Sketch on Quick Launch, so when I click it, it pops up, then I click New. Thing is, it covers up what I want to snip, with a green background and a white plus sign right in the middle. Can't get to what I want to snip. So, it's useless!

Snipping tool or Screenpresso for now. I use S&S a lot for my teaching tutorials.
