    Mike,

    Thanks for that link.

    So the procedure is -
1 Open the Registry using RegEdit & give Admin permission if required
    C:\Windows\System32\regedt32.exe
2 Go to the required Registry key by pasting this into the RegEdit address bar
    HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Search
3 Double-click on the Value name
    BingSearchEnabled
4 In the Value data input box enter 1 then click on OK
5 Close RegEdit and restart the computer

90% is lots of heat Denis, not to say unsafe to deal with. Glad you made it, got that reading with my first morning coffee. Bing can also be kill in the hosts file.

    All the best,

Just got the update and everything seems to be O.K. I don't use Cortana so maybe that is why.

Seems like a lot of folks are still experiencing problems. I'll hold off until Patch Tuesday 🙂

Just wondering, but am I the only one with low volume/sound because of the version 1903 update still? Can barely hear any games.

We are in 2019 and this is the level of Microsoft incompetence. Unfortunately Microsoft has become too big to fail.

Possibly a self inflicted issue from users and or programs adding registry tweaks to get around previous issues.
If it is caused by tweaks then it is highly selective. All three of my computers have the same Windows settings, the same applications set up in the same way and the same [very few] Registry tweaks. Yet only one of them exhibited this undesirable behaviour.

Nope. This patch is also affecting audio for several audio chipsets.

Apart from your feedback, is there a way to let them know?

which audio chipsets, eLPuSHeR? be more specific

note to Brink: Microsoft has just updated support article 4512941 on 9/4, acknowledging the high CPU usage problem from the SearchUI.exe file and estimates a solution will be available in mid-September

So is it known if the September update will be held over untill they get it sorted? If not it will not be safe to use it!
