10 pro always had it plus up to 365 day pause for major version updates like 1809 to 1903 for example.

this is all a conspiracy theory -- Ms is working with Energy providers to ensure consumption is at a maximum -- after all you can't create profits if people aren't using your product - both Windows and energy supplies -- so millions of CPU's being pushed to their limit is a nice deal for Ms !!!!!!! --Maybe a certain US politician has invested some money in these stocks. !!

However remember these are experimental builds so there could be all sorts of side effects. I do get the feeling though that too many people are taking risks to use these builds on "normal everyday working machines".

Only use these builds in a Virtual machine or spare computer(s) -- they by their nature are experimental and can be expected to be buggy so if people have problem with this then don't use them --as that old saying aptly describes it "If you can't stand the heat then stay out of the kitchen".

OK people want to test stuff and don't have a spare machine or the inclination to use a Virtual Machine --then simply ensure you take a decent backup before installing and revert if the build is not working for you.

Of course people want to know about problems with new builds etc but it's the false expectation that everything will work 100% correctly first time with these is what I find rather depressing from who should be on the whole more computer literate than the general population at large --OK this shouldn't include sloppy mistakes by Ms but I think people can understand what I'm getting at here.

Also for people who want to try these things out witout joining any insider rings etc --the UUPDUMP method for loads of people on these Forums provides a decent alternative way of installing / and reverting.

OK this doesn't test the official WU method but I get the impression people just want to test the builds without all the hassle when the "Official" update method fails.
