    Hallo Piet,
Het staat uitgelegd een paar berichten terug, als je met je muis op het slotje klikt voor de https en sleept naar je desktop dan plaats hij daar de shortcut.

    Goed uiteinde.

    Hello Piet,
It is explained a few messages back, if you click with your mouse on the lock for the https and drag to your desktop then he places the shortcut there.

    Good tip.

1 Highlite the url, right click and hit copy.
2 Move mouse pointer to unused spot on desktop and right click.
3 Click New and pick shortcut.
4 Paste the url into type location of item.
5 Click next and give it whatever name you want.

This is the standard way, yes, but if the default browse is still IE, that's what will open. Maybe the question is "How to create a shortcut to open a site with Edge, always, regardless of default browser".

I also think dragging the lock icon is simpler.

For some reason I can't make that work. I drag it to the desktop and when I release the mouse button it just disappears!

Ditto. With a red circle and crossline. As in "No can do". This reg Edge, not beta.

Yes, it doesn't work on regular Edge but working fine in Beta and Canary.
