    Okay... Here we go!

I have tested on two Windows installation that on purpose I have uninstalled Notepad.

Go to a Windows installation that have Notepad working and find [Users/YourUserName/Local/Packages] and copy the folder "Microsoft.WindowsNotepad_8wekyb3d8bbwe".

Now go to your Windows installation where you have uninstalled Notepad [Users/YourUserName/Local/Packages] and paste it there.

Then open PowerShell as an admintrador and paste the following:

    Add-AppxPackage -register "C:\Program Files\WindowsApps\Microsoft.WindowsNotepad_10.1908.0.0_x64__8wekyb3d8bbwe\AppxManifest.xml" -DisableDevelopmentMode
    and press Enter.

Your Notepad should be working again.

I seemed to have lost the Start Menu folder with the shortcut in it!

    After Restoring.

Can you post a screenshot of what you have here, cuz I have an empty folder... (and no folder showing in the Start Menu)

    C:\Users\xxxxx\AppData\Local\Packages\Microsoft.WindowsNotepad_8wekyb3d8bbwe\LocalCache\Roaming\Microsoft\Windows\ Start Menu\Programs

Never mind, the app is back, it's functioning properly, I don't have the folder cluttering my Start Menu, so, I'm a happy camper! A zombie, but happy camper!

    I gotta hit the hay!!!

    Thanks for your help!
