Build 18963, skipping 'Getting things ready' ?

Mine is behaving oddly. Soon as I selected "Download" it started immediately @ 0% and progressed to 100% in ~ 12 minutes, then started Installing. (currently @ 40%) Got my fingers crossed!
Same for me, it skipped the phase about 'getting things ready' and went right to download then install completed normally, the whole process was about 40 minutes..

After my struggles both Action Centre and Start Menu are almost completely transparent, completely unusable. Restoring back and will try again with UUPDump.

Hmm. UUPDump gave the same problems with Action Centre and Start Menu.

Ho hum. Just about all UWP apps including settings are having problems displaying. Only parts are showing or are showing after a mouseover. Completely unusable.

Win32 programs seem to work OK.

    Going back to 18956.

This Build just feels faster than the last few I can remember. Something must have changed because the last couple, especially, felt sluggish on my setup (admittedly an old one)

Well, my attempt to create an ISO from UUP dump files failed. On close examination I discovered that the file" Microsoft windows--Hello face package" was not downloaded properly. My two attempts to download the above file manually failed with the reason " Network error" and "Forbidden" respectively. I then refreshed the page and was then able to download the file to the UUP's folder. I then ran the file renaming script and after running the UUP convert script was able to generate the ISO successfully. I will now attempt to upgrade via windows update and see what happens.

All installed OK here. Took around an hour to reach the restart phase.

I have a white dot that looks like a stuck pixel but isn't. It is related to the icon for Notepad that I have pinned to the taskbar and it wasn't there before. The dot moves as you drag the icon and so it is related to that.

Edit... All my 'jump lists' pinned to Notepad have also gone.

There seems to be a problem with Notepad in this build on both my Insider PCs. The shortcut is missing from the Windows Accessories folder for the first time in my memory.
