You are ok. It is in the nature of cumulative updates that they contain all previous updates (or replacements for them). So all you have done is delay applying KB4505903 contents.
Thanks for the information and explaining how things work So what you're saying is the new Cumulative Update KB4512508 includes everything that was in Cumulative Update KB4505903 plus whatever has been newly added to the latest Cumulative Update KB4512508. Regarding this new update..its strange that it hasn't been firstly offered as an Additional Update as was the case with Cumulative Update KB4505903. This new Cumulative Update KB4512508 just said Updates Available. Updates are ready to download (showing as pending download) with a Download button directly underneath

I think they are trying to give users more control but I doubt you could delay these security updates for long. I've seen that download button before but only on insider builds where it may have been a bug.

You say the Download button may have been a bug when you've seen it before on insider builds. Are you saying the Download button may be a bug now because I have definitely just seen it with this new Cumulative Update KB4512508?

I don't know I'm just saying what I've seen. This was not recent insider builds it was a while ago and seemed to be tied into download caps. Insider builds do strange things sometimes.

My thoughts too. I'll let you know if/when my test machine gets round to it....

It's a VM, so I can just leave it running in the background and check in once in a while....
Just to let Bree and Kado897 know what happened with my PC. I didn't select the Download button and waited to see if/when it would be installed automatically. Just 5 minutes ago I got an amber Windows Update notification on the taskbar informing me that a Restart is required for the installation of Cumulative Update KB4512508. I selected to restart now and it it installed successfully within a few minutes. So judging by that, after being told Updates are ready to download with the Download button underneath. If you then do nothing it gets installed automatically after 72 hours approximately. At least we know now how it works with these Cumulative Updates

Thanks, I found much the same. I left my 1903 Home test machine running while I slept, it took less than 16 hours to go from this.....

Mmm. I wonder if it's tied into "Active Hours"

Possibly, my test machine's active hours were set for 9:00 - 17:00. The last automatic check for updates was outside active hours at 18:23 yesterday, but that didn't stop it showing a download button. I wasn't expecting anything to happen until the next automatic check. From Task Scheduler it seems the WindowsUpdate task ran at 01:41 this morning, the next automatic check is scheduled for 18:17 today.
