Hi there
I won't be changing to a subscription any time soon -- It's BONKERS now with all the rediculous subscriptions one has to choose -- e.g even with streaming addition of Apple and Disney -- how many of these wretched things are people going to pay for.
I suppose some people will just go back to that old ship still flying "The Skull and Crossbones" (TPB) and if they do some of these greedy corporations only have themselves to blame. Others will look for alternattive platforms -- there's some quite good reasonable "Office Clones" around now as well as a passable email client or two.
A few USD here and a few there per month doesn't sound much --but it's the insidious way these mount up (and that's the intention) and before you know it these will work out at hundreds of USD per month.

Yes, they got rid of them - checked earlier on our HUP website.
Alas! The ones you have purchased should be fine for quite some time - just make sure you have your key # stored somewhere safely. Although one cannot help but wonder if on-line installers still remain available?

I think you can go back as far as at least Office 2007 with ISO's etc which still work just fine on Windows 10.
For most people there's actually very little in newer versions of Office that are really "Must Have" features --OK some new thing in EXCEL with Pivot tables etc --and all the collaboration stuff / working in teams etc -- that shouldn't be of much interest to the typical home user and OUTLOOK even on Office 2007 is a perfectly capable email client.
Office 2010 is still in life for around a year or so too and getting regular updates.

Office 2013/2016 & 2019 that I got via HUP over the years all came as on-line installer only, with the whole package having to be downloaded off Microsoft servers. I do not believe off-line version existed/exists, but equally: I have not searched for them earlier.

I got two different sets of product codes for Office 2019 Professiona Plus via my MY Visual Studio subscription.
One set of keys will only work with an ISO install.
The other set or keys will only work with an online install via the Get Office App.
The end result is the same as near as I can tell, niether one is Office 365. I only ever use Outlook and Word though. If there are differences I haven't stumbled apon them.

Well, the difference is (or rather: was) in the price. I could have - and got - mine for less than a tenner apiece!

My Visual Studio subscription was a complimentarty subscription so any software I install via those product keys is free. They are all Retail keys. And the keys are mine to use even after the subscription runs out. I won't be paying for Office as a subscrition any time soon, if ever.
Sucks for those affected though.
The Microsoft Home Use Program allows employees at eligible companies to buy an annual subscription of Office 365 Home or Office 365 Personal at a discount for use on personal devices.
Microsoft quietly has made a change to its Home Use Program (HUP) for its Software Assurance business customers. As some had expected when the company began revamping the HUP benefit earlier this year, Microsoft is dropping the ability to buy the non-subscription version of Office for a steeply discounted price. Microsoft instead is offering HUP customers the ability to buy Office 365 Home or Personal at a discount for home use.
In an updated Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ) document about the program, Microsoft now notes:
"Microsoft is updating the Home Use Program to offer discounts on the latest and most up to date products such as Office 365, which is always up to date with premium versions of Office apps across all your devices. Office Professional Plus 2019 and Office Home and Business 2019 are no longer available as Home Use Program offers."
