Ahhh, I completely missed that you were talking about screenshots. I thought you meant on the live system. Hence the confusion on my part. Sorry!
Ayup - that is what I *try* to do every time, as I have to post directions not only for Windows P related posts, but also Android, and a slew of other things that I test. Even then, though, I forget to sometimes...
I sometimes use screenshots, but I don't take the time to concatenate them into a single one, usually posting them as individual screenshots in a list of steps. Otherwise, I go for Tom's method.
I was also going to post this - that seems to work, as many times as I have tried it.

And can you point to the exact number of posts where people have come in here and stated that they have a problem, and then posted back that they even posted the error / information to FB Hub at all, much less linking to the posted feedback to garner support?
Yeah, I thought so.
Consider me trite all you want - my opinion stands and I'm not changing it on your words.
Oh, and one more thing - the survey that Brink linked to *also* asks, as one of the questions, if you have recently submitted feedback. I guess M$ is trite too.
That's exactly what I am talking about:
I really don't know how to fix it and it seems I am the only one with the problem for now. God knows how many fixes I have tried, but to no avail. At one point I think I ought to leave the Insiders Program and install a stable version of the OS, i.e., 19H1 and then subscribe back to it and see what happens.
Regarding Workstations, I am not really well versed in the matter. I Know you can run multiple OSes on them, same For Enterprises but I have never tried one. More to your point, I know you probably already have all the documentation in as much as path too long is concerned, but it never hurts to try to help:
How To Fix ‘Filename Is Too Long’ Issue In Windows:
Posts from Help Desk Geek for 07/17/2019
That would be the logical thing to do, i.e., going back to 18950 and try to update with UUPDump ISO, but before just try the simple steps mentioned in my post #139 about resetting Network from the old tenforums' thread. It only takes two or three clicks. It seems to have worked for some members.
I am really looking forward to seeing you fix this issue. LOL
In program files / Windows apps folder, what's safe to delete, I deleted some store apps and see many folders in here...
Hi there
@IronZorg89
thanks for the info -- BUT regarding Long Path + File names in Windows : 266 chars :
Been there, seen it, done it, bought the T-Shirt etc.
The problem is that Windows won't display these files in anything other than 8.3 Dos format whatever settings you have in registry etc etc. I think they need to change the file manager / explorer interface GUI -- after all if Android phone, iPhones, Mac OS and any sort of Linux / Unix / other (IBM s/390 for example) OS can display these properly why can't Windows.
The solution also isn't to RENAME long files --that's a Bovine suggestion by somebody who perhaps has only 5 or so of these files - and if you are sharing across networks it's also totally BONKERS !!!!! -- I've got around 20 TB of NAS storage here so I'm not spending months renaming things just so a few Windows clients can see the files properly !!!
Here's what I mean
Linux display of long file names
Windows offers these !!!!!!! for the same files
Cheers
