First pass on HP6000 (old laptop) failed on network drivers, BSOD

Tried again and was successful but won't install nvidia driver. Ran newest DDU and reinstalled. Still failed.

On the previous build it updated display driver and everything seemed okay.

Tried to report on Feedback Hub, app started but never proceeded to actual input screen.

    Falling back to older build.

Excellent so far , 70 min to desktop, but that was my fault , doing two things at once.

I wonder why this option is no longer blocked in the insider builds:

In build 18950 that option was not blocked either.

As of yesterday Cortana reverted back to old cortana, even going back to 18950 after a reboot Cortana beta is installed but clicking Cortana gives me the old cortana.

Missed all of this the last few days. Updated today with no problems or gsod, and the whole thing took only about 35 minutes. Everything seems to be working properly so far, and nothing unusual to detect.

I do have one question, however. Why doesn't settings have a road map of where you are like every other window does? It's so frustrating to see someone in one part of settings, and I look up to see how they got there and only see HOME. So sometimes I have a hard time figuring out how someone got to that particular option in settins as there's no list of links they used to get there. For instance, in a window, If I went to the folder en-US, you could look at the top of the window to see C:\Windows\System32\Boot\en-US.

While it doesn't show you the roadmap, the back button works exactly as it is supposed to - going back through the history of the pages that you visited on your journey to the current page. And if you hit the home button, the back button should take you back to the previous page where you just hit the home button - and keep going back until it gets to the first page that you opened with settings, although I have managed to confuse that back history a couple of times.

Upgraded one of my laptops to 956. Will upgrade the other tomorrow, and I think I have every thing I could possibly want on the desktop 1903 build, so time to image, then restore 18950 on it to upgrade. That, too, will be tomorrow. It's bedtime for Bonzo.

@johngalt: thanks for the pointer to TechBench dump. I did some IP2Location lookup and found it's hosted in California, USA. I've seen other sites like this hosted overseas that seemed more suspect. That said, the DNS record for the two IP addresses for the site are pretty sparsely filled out. Sigh.

You're welcome, Ed. I was rather surprised to see some of the stuff he linked to, but I also found that more than a couple of things simply would not DL (the most common message I received was that I needed to be a Windows Insider - of course, because I restrict all Insider-related DLs from a single browser, which is the only browser that has the login I use for the IP program - and, naturally, it wasn't the browser I was using at the time lol).

I am actually more interested in the nostalgia aspect of it - being able to throw up TH1 again, just to see how far it has come....

I'm (partially) beginning to regret having thrown away the 9xxx series of .ISOs that I burned to disc now - kinda wish I had kept them. Eh.

Well I drank the Kool-Aid and installed Windows 10 for Workgroups on my physical machine. I also installed the full complement of Hyper-V features. So far no performance changes but I did learn how to use Diskpart to delete all the Windows 10 Pro partitions and more important convert an MBR disk (don't know why Win 10 Pro installed MBR - may the SSD Manufactorer. I willing to wait until 7/31/20 to either find a cheap license or ditch the whole thing. I found one that looked reputable for $150 but that's still a rip-off compare to Manjaro which of course is free. and so far better.
