Never saw the point in live tiles in the start menu. Just a hangover from W8 where it made some sense.

It may be useful for tablet devices for a smartphone like experience if wanted.

Also been reported on 64bit machines and it's on UUPDump.
Think that the M$ guys are overcome by the situation, didn't know what happened and now they just try to get things done and to calm all of us.
On my laptop, the 18947 build came thru WU.
    And my machine is 64-bit...
    Ufff...

And that's happened exactly when I thought that maybe this third build is the one that will install ...

Clean installed 18947 without issues. No new Start Menu, though.

"Hangover" is the keyword here. That's what I get when I see live tiles in my Start Menu.

Fortunately... I am paused, however I might have been tempted to run a manual scan had I not seen this.

    Whoops.

Does anyone at MS actually know what they are doing, or are the OS and the various apps simply getting too complex for the kids in the NW granola-eating conclave to handle?

I got the build to install, but I get rs_prerelease, not rs_xbox. Did anyone save the UUP files for the rs_xbox one, I'm curious about the differences.

Seems to be fixed. Not offered anymore to my Fast ring VM or to my main pc in Release Preview ring.

In my WU history I see 3 failed install attempts of XBOX version and 1 failed install attempt of Windows 10 prerelease build.

I had one pc update automatically through WU and one did not. The versions on UUP all error out and are now removed leaving the x-box version. All seems good on the updated pc. Someone st MS needs to get a handle on what's going on.
