I do agree -- actually I don't in anyway regard Ms like "The Evil Empire" in spite of the fact I tend to use Linux as my main worktop computer and use Windows as VM's.

I did see an interesting documentary recently back about the times of the Financial Crisis of around 2006 -- I think weren't some Banks bailed out with the mantra "Too Big To Fail".

However with a global economy and new players like China getting into the act in serious ways we (in the West at least) do need to have serious big players who have the resources and skills to compete with these other sorts of economies -- who have literally Billions of potential consumers.

However that's a job for the politicians -- I doubt if Ms / Google / Amazon etc will collapse in the near future !!

BTW are you near Swansea / Cardiff -- I had a fabulous time at Millenium stadium watching Wales play rugby some while ago -- (never played it myself) but a great afternoon -- will remember that for a long time. Loved the singing -- I think the Welsh would win any choral competition on the planet !!!!.

Not far from there, used to play for a team called Pontypool, we caused huge waves in rugby in our time, a hard hard game, but best of m8's when we left the field, what happened on the field stayed on the field.

Not all of Wales can sing but at the Arms park, Millenium Stadium. Principality Stadium, whatever next, then there is always a magic atmosphere, no matter who is playing.

Actually I'm not so sure that is right. I had massive problems updating 18936, but none of those problems showed up when updating 18941. I think M$ should focus more on the important fundamental things, and spend less time on ridiculous periferal things, like emoji's. JMHO.

Couldn't agree more, surely it's a no-brainer that emoji's come way down the list in the scheme of things. But it's come a long way since November 10, 1983.

Most of time insider versions work good enough so they wouldn't sell many official windows but what they could do is to give them free to licensed users for dual boot. I just happened to have couple of W7 licenses from scrapped computers otherwise i wouldn't pa for privilege to test it, ain't that rich.

I don't think MS would see much of a effect if they had continued to give away Insider builds. Most home user buy OEM computers that have Windows preinstalled. My first Insider build was a free version of Windows 10 Pro. The motherboard died and so did my free version. Both of my Insider Builds now are activated by the OEM version that came preinstalled. That is why I have one Pro version(desktop) and one home version(laptop).
