Wasn't it said that if one is on Fast/Skippy it is basically impossible to change back to a previous build in Insider program unless one goes through a clean install?. Jus asking because I am myself a bit confused.
Fast/Skippy has nothing to do with 18362. Otherwise, I'm confused too.

    build 18362.10000 for 19H2 says Version 1903? shouldn't it be 1909, DooGie?
I guess MS isn't gonna make 19H2 "version 1909" then and instead it's more like a 1903 service pack

Hmm - interesting shift in update policy using cumulative updates.

I still hate the selective rollout approach as I fail to see benefit of restricting options - more people who test, more feedback.

The blog is very vague really.

I really believe some statement if what mught be anticipated would be nice.

Nope - it is quite normal to retain old build number until closer to release. Simply MS hedging bets in case it got delayed, and may decide to call it 1911 or whatever.

Hey Gang - I am interested in updating to .1000 on my laptop. Right now, I'm on 18362.145.

I was thinking originally to update to 18362.207 but this update to .1000 piques my interest. BTW, I'm not an insider anymore.

    My questions:
    1) For those who have installed this upgrade, for a person like myself, is there any benefits to do the upgrade (additional features, better performance, etc.?)

    2) Are you able, after upgrading to .1000 to opt out of insider program & stay at 18362.1000 or do you need to restore backup back to 18362.145 (.175)??

Really appreciate this forum & the wonderful people who help people like myself, though not a real newbie per sa, but still need help with more technical stuff from people who have more experience with Windows 10.

TIA for any & all replies!

    - Ray

    Hi folks

Updated easily via UUPDUMP created the ISO and then ran the setup --did it from existing 1903 19H1Windows build (not any insider ones --I'm not a member of any insider rings etc.
Seems to be a bit slicker than before update -- but that might be simply "User perception" --I haven't benchmarked anything.

It is because @f14tomcat in post #2 mentioned to " Downgrade Fast/Skippy to slow" and that was the reason why I expressed my confusion in post #8.

That was just a comment/question as part of my question of what to do. Didn't say to downgrade fast/skippy to slow. Sorry if that caused confusion.

I don't think you can at this stage of the cycle without a clean install.
