Chrome still behaves better for me than FF and I use both.

Sure it would as Google controls a great deal of The Internet. They have more $$$$ than most Governments.

Not cookies, because it would remove all saved logins, passwords, settings and people would riot. One tracking cookie is nothing, but 11,000 tracking requests during browser's startup can be quite noticeable.

I'm normally skeptical of anything I read in the Washington Post because the Washington Post is the newspaper that the CIA uses when they want to leak something to the media.

It's bad enough that Chrome doesn't have any built-in tracker blocking like Firefox and Safari, but now Google is going to make blocking extensions less effective with the impending implementation of Manifest V3.

Fortunately there are many alternatives to Google Chrome.

How to move from Chrome to another browser

If you want to make the switch

Despite some new improvements to user privacy, Google’s popular Chrome browser has recently been lambasted in some quarters as problematical when it comes to privacy issues. These same articles suggest that if you’re concerned about the security of your data, you should try an alternative browser, such as Firefox, Safari, or Brave.

Of course, anyone who has used a browser for any length of time will have built up a considerable library of bookmarks, preferences, and saved passwords. If you do move to a new browser, you won’t have to sacrifice your bookmarks; you can easily import them from Chrome into your new browser.

    Here’s how to do it.

This thread is a little too political in some posts for me, so I'll stay away.

    These issues are overrated!

So Google knows where you live and that you shop at Walmart and work at Wendy's! Who gives a sh*t!
