[Windows Release Health Update – New Message] We are beginning to train the machine learning based rollout process to update devices running the April 2018 Update (version 1803), and earlier versions of Windows 10.

Current status as of June 18, 2019:
Windows 10, version 1903 is available for any user who manually selects “Check for updates” via Windows Update for all devices that do not have a safeguard hold. If you are not offered the update, please check below for any known issues that may affect your device. The recommended servicing status is Semi-Annual Channel.

    Hi Shawn,

I tried looking around if this will go as far back as 1709 but didn't come up with anything. It does say:
devices running the April 2018 Update (version 1803), and earlier versions of Windows 10.
so I 'guess' you could take that to mean 1709 but that's ambiguous at best. If their sayin' 'earlier' it could as far back as 1507 then, right?

Have you seen any specific reports that this new machine learning covers earlier versions?

    Thanks,

    Steve

Thanks @Brink. I am just hoping that the ML based roll out process does a good job for my machine. If not, I will stay on 1809 with a system backup restore, for I cannot live without Edge & my headphones (one of them — I have two) which had been my big problem last time I tried to install 1903 from Update assistant. They were not working. This is where I stand right now on 1809:

    Thanks Mike,

She's getting ready for an all girls trip next week and won't be taking her laptop and I already told her that I'll be checking it out. I'd be willing to bet that since mine needed a bios and micro-code update hers most likely does to.

I had one install sitting on 1803 17134.191 that after checking for updates went to 17134.829 and then to 1903 18362.175. Whole process was about 1.5 hours. I was waiting for an "epic" fail along the way but was another smooth update.
