But no word on what would happen if you try a second time. The best way to know is to try it again. Just my thought!

Yeah, but then you would have an entire host of other problems... The west coast of our country is absolutely screwed right now. Nasty horrible places...

Mine updated absolutely fine, in about 25 minutes. Haven't run into any problems so far. Everything seems to be everything...

Mine will not update. Just hung on "Checking for updates". I rebooted and did the check for updates but back in the checking for updates loop.

Well be fighting it for 2 days and eventually managed to get it onto a Hyper V VM and so far so good. It would download twice, then install 100% but then fail to start or get stuck in the booting process. So let's hope that it stays good now. Got a macrium image just in case.

Did you try resetting windows update (see Brink’s tutorial)?

I restored to a Macrium Reflect disc image of an earlier version and now 18917 is downloading.
To add, it updated without problems.

I only keep the insider versions to test compatibility with my recording studio equipment and software. Thus nothing lost reverting to an earlier version.
