    UUPDump

I'm downloading the ISO via uupdump running kubuntu 19.10 with kernel 5.2.0-050200rc4-generic. I'm really interested in seeing how WSL2 shakes out.

Still no search bar in explorer in this build either
I’ll have to do a clean install when i get a chance
I DO HAVE search bar in both my computers that have finished download and install, Bordi. Sorry you're still having problems.

This one is taking *FOREVER* on 2 of my 3 test machines. I'm at over an hour on both PCs, and the XPS 2720 is at 60% post-GUI install phase, and the X220 Tablet is still on "Getting things ready" (76%). Sheesh!

Same here, Ed. Very, very slow and going back and forth on back to ‘getting things ready’ several times!

    Hi folks

    installing now

Looking forward to "Stress Testing" the WSL 2

people worried about slow updates should stick to using UUPDUMP for these builds

Then if you've got a slew of computers to upgrade you only need the one iso image - or you can sysprep - problem with sysprepping these new builds though is that you can't always guarantee you can build the correct wim -- for non corporate type of installs if you have several machines IMO the best way is to create an iso via the UUPDUMP method and use that for updating machines -- uisng this method means you don't actually need to be enrolled into the insider programs.

    Cheers

I’ve even had a green screen attempting to write to memory not designed to be written to . . . Some strange code in this build. In my two systems that finished first, after restart the screen read percentages were all over the place from 60 to 20 to 70 to 30 —- really weird

Took about me about 45 minutes from checking updates to done desktop with no issues.
Gamed a little bit, surfed a little bit, cleaned everything up and made MR backup Image.

Will post back if I find anything earth shattering to report.

    peace
