EFI is on boot drive as directed by your Uefi-bios setup. Did you reinstall your operating system after changing your mobo?
    No, I didn't re-install the OS.
Maybe that is what I will have to do, but I was trying to avoid re-installing all my apps.
Build 18912 is running now, but the quirks it had on the old hardware are still present.
It was, and is, very slow to load and respond after an overnight shutdown. After a restart (or 2) it performs snappily.

I decided to give it a shot, just to see if the gaming issues mentioned in the release notes are still as bad as they were before. They absolutely are. Attempting to launch Ghost Recon Wildlands caused a green screen. I guess I'm stuck on 19H1 until the gaming stuff is figured out.

[UPDATE] We fixed an issue for Home editions where some devices might not have been seeing the “update installed” on the update history page.

    Hi guys

what's up with these dark themes -- I HATE THEM !!!!!!

Same as modern TV or films these days -- everything seems to be shot at about 01.00 am in total darkness etc -- even the car chase bits seem to be done in the middle of the night !! -- perhaps it's humankind becoming afraid of the light these days --- or is it creeping "vampire-itus" that's affecting people these days.

I prefer neutral type backgrounds -- especially if you use things like photoshop where often a light grey workspace is the easiest to work with.

Still it's peoples choice -- however I don't like the trend though towards dark sombre themes though.

    Cheers

    Hi there
    @Edwin

    it's working for me

I entered mockinbird (deliberately spelled wrong) in the explorer bar and a logon to bing is thrown up.

cancelled the password and then the system launched edge with the search keyword.

Not sure why the logon screen was presented though - just skip it and the browser will start.

Not sure how its intended to work - if I were writing something like that I'd scrape the results say from google / duckgogo or whatever search engine(s) you wanted to use and present a list but launching a browser directly with the search parameter entered seems OK if you could skip the logon screen.

    again for edwin

    try this

I'll have a go with this in the WSL 2 - you can install python. I'll have a go on native Linux too.

Performing Google Search using Python code - GeeksforGeeks

    Cheers

    installed at last
windows update would not install it so tried UUP Dump but that took 4 attempts each time just getting to 46%
restarted laptop then nearly installed and it just disappeared.
restarted again and it worked no bother
    so far things are working

The operating system is expecting your old system specs and doesn’t recognize your new mobo and video card etc. you either have to reinstall everything or if you use Macrium licensed version it has a component that presumably corrects your system to replace old settings with new ones. I have not used that component so can’t attest to it.
you might want to post on installation and upgrade forum - and read some of forum dialogue.

Using UUPDUMP doesn't help MS improve the upgrade process. I will use it but only if WU has failed.
Quite true, Keith, but if you can't update via WU, at least with UUPDump, you can test the rest of the update. It doesn't all hinge on helping Microsoft improve the upgrade process. Just my opinion . . . and coffee's still $1.25 when it used to cost a dime!

BTW, with the slow Internet speed at the Sr. Center, ain't no way I'm gonna spend the night there updating our seven computers!

Well, now if you were living in Seattle, that would be no problem.
