Well, yes, MS could have shown some appreciation to insiders and at same time widened insider base by giving it free to holders of regular W10 license. I had to sacrifice two W7 licenses to run insider builds on two computers. And yes, I could have upgraded to normal consumer version on at least one more machine but I'm still providing valuable data from 2 computers, many are doing from even more.
Interesting you should say that. When I had the original Technical Preview in a VM and they added activation to that my two installations got digital licences for free. I am still running insider builds on them.

Same here, Keith. When the Insider Program was first announced, I signed up and the Preview has been activated ever since. I did use an old Windows 8.0 license to upgrade to Pro, but I don't consider that a sacrifice . . .

I lost my free Pro version that I received when I first signed up for the Insider ring. The desktop it was installed on died. All the computers I have now came preinstalled with Windows 10. My PowerSpec desktop is the only one that has 10 Pro.

Has anyone experienced any lines showing up on their screens? I have a small straight line on the bottom left corner of my laptop screen. It's there permanently and wasn't before my second to last reboot.
I would make your own post as they tend to get lost on this thread.

As swarfega has said would probably be best in your own new thread. It's probably nothing to do with the build, just bad timing, and possibly more to do with dead pixels.

I would try using the basic video driver from MS to see if it's a driver problem.

How long does the average install take for 1903?

I read someone online say it took them 10 hours to install even though they had a fast CPU, SSD and 32GB of RAM!

Take a full screen shot, if you can see the line on it, it's coming from graphics sub system (GPU or driver), If not, it's your display or cable (ribbon in case of laptop).

That, of course, is highly dependent on your hardware, internet speed, space available.... a multitude of factors. Including the method you use to upgrade. I would suspect the 10 hours you heard somewhere was an extreme case. Like fires and earthquakes and such, the sensational numbers and stories are most likely to be published. Everybody is going to be a bit different, but 1-3 hours is much more likely. There really is no way to give a firm time. Any estimates would only be s.w.a.g.s.
