Is that a Windows Home or Pro version? My Pro version desktop didn't offer to clean up Windows Update but the Home Version on my Laptop did. Just trying to figure out why some do and some don't. :)
    Hi,

Same here (Pro upgraded, not clean install). After automatically update (18362.175), Disk Cleanup cannot find update files, so one more GB has been added to my system and there is no way to delete/merge it.

It happened also on previous update. What I did to resolve it: I restored an image with previous update, then "Check for updates" manually and after update installation, issue had gone and Disk Cleanup found and deleted/merged update files.

Perhaps this is an issue on 1903...if someone knows something, it would be appreciated

PS: Settings / System / Storage => Temporary files and Storage Sense / Clean now functions, cannot find and merge/delete update files, too.

I've noticed that on a Dell XPS 8700 Windows 10 Pro that this update breaks the Event Viewer plug in. Event Viewer will open but if I attempt to click on an event a pop-up box tells me the plug in cannot be opened and offers option to send an error report to Microsoft. When I do a restore with Macrium Reflect back to 6/10/19 backup event viewer works fine. I have tried two restores and then allowed June update to run, each time Event viewer becomes broken again.

I have now paused updates in group policy for 30 days to not allow KB4503293.

I do not see this June update problem on three other Windows 10 Pro boxes.

    Anyone else seeing this problem?
Event viewer is working for me.

    Hi,

I just did the update on my Laptop and it had Windows Update Files at 1.36GB on the Clean Up System Files list and it gave me back all my gigabytes. Another Microsoft mystery. :)
That's why I mentioned that out of four updated machines only one of them showed the 1.36Gb on the list.
On the ones that did not show it there was no big difference in the amount of free space but I was still able to shrink it using a third party utility.
Like you said; another MS mystery.

    Cheers,

Delete the View_0.xml Then the event viewer starts without problems.

Upgrading my 6 qualified desktops now. Very glad to see WU asking for permission to download and install updates again.

So far, no issues to report. Will add remarks here if anything of interest presents.

[Note added 05:30 later] Got all machines updated without issues. I'm really jazzed with the new "Download and install now" option that shows up in WU for CUs and Feature Upgrades. Jazzed enough, in fact, that I blogged about it for Windows Enterprise Desktop today: Understanding Win10 WU "Download and install" now option.
