This is seriously getting annoying having to manually download and install these updates. VM downloaded and installed just fine, host machine hasn't pulled an update on it's own since 5/24 after it was initially installed.

Good and let see if you can overcome this stalemate with the mounted ISO. One thing that seems obvious is that the Windows Update component store is corrupt and this approach with the /LimitAccess switch is probably the best way to fix it. UPDATE: I forgot to mention to pay special attention to steps 6 & 7 in Brink's tutorial from the previous post about Install.wim and Install.esd respectively.
I used step 7 in brink's tutorial, the command:
    Dism /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth /Source:esd:E:\Sources\Install.esd:8 /limitaccess
where the downloaded iso was mounted as E on my system and I'm using win10 pro (index=8)
But did not see a change to my symptoms after rebooting and re-running WU
So I googled my WU error message given to me by tray notification and got to this page.
Fix Windows Update error 0x80070003: 5 methods that really work
It lists several things, all of which I had tried already except for deleting two folders within the softwaredistribution folder. So I deleted those, restarted and retried WU, to no avail.
Then I got to thinking maybe the issue was something I had modified with winaero tweaker, so I reset all winaero tweaks to the win10 default state, rebooted, re-ran WU, but that did not help either.
Then I recalled how I have at times changed the permissions of various folders, so I used the Subinacl tool to reset all permissions to their default, using the below cmd file I found posted somewhere.
    --------------------------
    subinacl /subkeyreg HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE /grant=administrators=f
    subinacl /subkeyreg HKEY_CURRENT_USER /grant=administrators=f
    subinacl /subkeyreg HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT /grant=administrators=f
    subinacl /subdirectories %SystemDrive% /grant=administrators=f
    subinacl /subkeyreg HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE /grant=system=f
    subinacl /subkeyreg HKEY_CURRENT_USER /grant=system=f
    subinacl /subkeyreg HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT /grant=system=f
    subinacl /subdirectories %SystemDrive% /grant=system=f
    ----------------------------
As those lines were executing I would say about 1/3 resulted in a successful modification of permission, and 2/3 did not, showing an "access denied message" instead. No idea what to make of that. In any case, a reboot and re-run of WU still is unable to complete the update installation.
The system still works fine, however am still unable to install this update successfully. sfc scannow produces no errors, in case I forgot to mention that.

Is that a Windows Home or Pro version? My Pro version desktop didn't offer to clean up Windows Update but the Home Version on my Laptop did. Just trying to figure out why some do and some don't. :)
    It's pro version.

So much for that theory. Thanks.

First time in over a year (or maybe two) that the "patch Tuesday" updates were automatically retrieved by Windows Update. I've been waiting until the 2nd Wednesday every month, and just doing a manual "check for updates" to get them.

Sorry to see that didn't help. You can always try to do a repair install aka In-place upgrade Repair Install Windows 10 with an In-place Upgrade

But before you do, it wouldn't be a bad idea to try these troubleshooting steps from Microsoft regarding Fixing Windows Update Errors and from ZDNet. Lastly, The In-place upgrade is probably your best bet and as you already probably know, you won't loose your data files nor your installed Apps.

    Just got my machine updated.
I've noticed that the night light issue still hasn't been fixed. I have to sign out and back in every time for it to take effect.
Anyone else still noticing the same issue?

I am getting an error that the "update is not applicable to your computer". Any thoughts?

I've noticed that on a Dell XPS 8700 Windows 10 Pro that this update breaks the Event Viewer plug in. Event Viewer will open but if I attempt to click on an event a pop-up box tells me the plug in cannot be opened and offers option to send an error report to Microsoft. When I do a restore with Macrium Reflect back to 6/10/19 backup event viewer works fine. I have tried two restores and then allowed June update to run, each time Event viewer becomes broken again.

I have now paused updates in group policy for 30 days to not allow KB4503293.

I do not see this June update problem on three other Windows 10 Pro boxes.

    Anyone else seeing this problem?

Can any kind souls test and see if the ntoskrnl dpc latency spikes are resolved in this build? Run it for around 30 minutes just doing normal activities (latencymon) and see if you get 700+ spikes or if everything is back to normal.
