Sorry to see that didn't help. You can always try to do a repair install aka In-place upgrade Repair Install Windows 10 with an In-place Upgrade
But before you do, it wouldn't be a bad idea to try these troubleshooting steps from Microsoft regarding Fixing Windows Update Errors and from ZDNet. Lastly, The In-place upgrade is probably your best bet and as you already probably know, you won't loose your data files nor your installed Apps.
Tried 'em all but to no avail, so I did a repair install this morning and that worked. Thanks for your help!

FWIW, it is caused by update KB4503293. I uninstalled it and Event View works fine. I reinstalled this upddate and EV again does not load snap-in. Have input to MS. Btw Sfc /scannow is fine , as is DISM check.

Certainly very glad it finally works out for you after all those attempts. Don't forget to backup (very important). Cheers!

For those who have an additional 1Gb after this update, this might be applicable:

    Cumulative Update KB4494441 Windows 10 v1809 Build 17763.503 - May 14

    ie using (as admin):
    Dism.exe /online /Cleanup-Image /StartComponentCleanup /ResetBase

to clean up the Windows and WinSxS folders (note the warning in the post you can not restore old versions after this command)

None of the above bugs are present in our computer. We've tried them all and we did not encounter any issues. For testing purposes, upgrade was made using 9252.exe a few days ago and all is Ok under *175.

Event Viewer will open but if I attempt to click on an event a pop-up box tells me the plug in cannot be opened and offers option to send an error report to Microsoft. When I do a restore with Macrium Reflect back to 6/10/19 backup event viewer works fine. I have tried two restores and then allowed June update to run, each time Event viewer becomes broken again.

I have now paused updates in group policy for 30 days to not allow KB4503293.

I do not see this June update problem on three other Windows 10 Pro boxes.

    Anyone else seeing this problem?
I am getting exactly the same problem and tried the same fixes which also failed. Look as though I need to restore my macrium backup as you did until microsoft issue a fix.

This is seriously getting annoying having to manually download and install these updates. VM downloaded and installed just fine, host machine hasn't pulled an update on it's own since 5/24 after it was initially installed.
Here, was having this same problem, found a solution:

    wifi fubar'd

I just made a tenforums networking post and it now occurs to me that the issue may be a result of installing this update, so figured I should mention the post here.

Long story short, all of a sudden my system cannot remember networks anymore...

"manage known networks" is empty in wifi settings
