Live Upgrade Up To Your PC Will Restart In a Few Moments

Extracting the ISO took 13 minutes, not a record.

setup.exe canceled after 25 minutes. The problem of that installer is at the end of the blue screen: Your PC will restart in a few moments. That took 5 minutes.

First restart took too long for 5,6,7,8 and 9%. Cold shutdown and got a message saying undoing changes to your computer.

The end result is the screenshot and I'm the author of this error.

For the first time since whenever, the 'normal' disk cleanup didn't leave a deeply buried folder behind in windows.old.

Seemed to take forever on the initial install, about 1+30. Final install 30 mins but total time 3 hours including the ISO. Very lengthy time for my machine. Checked what was slowing down the initial install time and it appears the Cloud was uploading at the same time. That may have been the problem. Oh well it's done.

Success on first try. No 'bouncing', but not fast, 89 minutes total to desktop. A little more time than usual. That included a video card update to version 435.27. Latest driver for my card, GTX 750Ti, on NVidia site is 430.86. Interesting that MS issued a later driver than NVidia have made available!
The 'bouncing' which I had on a recent update was related to download errors. Be interested to know if others who see 'bouncing' have download errors. The error is not reported during the update, but, IIRC correctly, can be seen in event viewer.
I was experiencing the black screen issue MS claim to have fixed. No black screens since the update, but only 3 + hours uptime yet.

What sort of update is this which has to tended to every five minutes like a baby. These are the messages I get every now and then. " update ready to download", "update ready to install". " Cannot finish the update. Try restart". etc.etc. I am wondering whether this is an "upgrade" or "downgrade".

It seems that Microsoft has done nothing to streamline and ease the upgrade process. It is going from bad to worse with every new build.

You get this from time to time with Fast Ring builds. It shows that MS are attempting to develop the upgrade process. Sometimes it doesn't work for everyone. This happens during development and is useful information for MS.
