I wonder how many people here actually use Narrator.

I accept (and support it) that it is an important tool for people with difficulties but I am wondering how many Insiders actually make the effort to truly test it?

I for one have never used it; thus never tested it.

New build 18912.1001 incoming to Fast Ring.
Thanks, got it downloaded now. It tried downloading twice before install and took a long while to install, then to fire up from the welcome screen and after that it was a bit sluggish doing anything. Will be interesting to play with tomorrow

Try to end Task For File Explorer in task Manager:

Your background screen will become black after that, but no worry. Now, still in Task Manager, go the File Menu at the top left and click on "Run new task":

A new little window will open and in the "Open" field type "explorer.exe" and also tick "Create This task with administrative privileges" underneath and finally click OK.

That should bring back File Explorer back as well as your desktop and hopefully with the search bar.

PS- Your "attached" screenshot is not working.

What a stupid waste of time...getting things ready....installing....getting things ready...installing....ad infinitum.
Difficult to believe that M$ in their wisdom release such rubbish.

Pretty much agree. Why not use uupdump and install/update from the ISO?
It defeats the objective from an M$ point of view ie- Updating....but it is so frustrating they release in such an unfit state.
Have finally managed to Update after having posted my dissatisfaction on this forum.....maybe they are "listening" in to what I do on my computer.....coincidental perhaps?

    Interesting new feature.

With Windows 10 20H1 update, Microsoft is planning to give you more control of Windows Update’s downloads. In Windows 10 Build 18912, Microsoft has introduced advanced bandwidth settings for Windows Update that will finally allow users to limit the download speeds with absolute value.

The new Windows Update controls are hidden by default, but advancers users can enable it with Mach2. The hidden Delivery optimization settings in Windows 10 20H1 will allow you to limit ‘download speeds with absolute Mbps values’.

    More details:-

You can soon limit Windows 10 Updates download speeds with value
