So now they fix this! It needed to be done before 1903 was released.
you mean released generally to the public? I hear you, larc.

MS should have made updated 1903 ESDs/ISOs that should have contained “This PC can’t be upgraded to Windows 10” fix but did not (though they may do that either next month or in July)

no matter - I'll just download KB4497935 thru a recent UUP dump w/ uup dump downloader since KB4497935 did show up on there and I'll just create an updated 1903 ISO image containing that fix

Confucius says: "What's up with the rings?"

With 19H2 not happening and this in 2 rings.. not sure what's happening regarding the testing process?

This, and multiple KB numbers for paired releases in RP and then release to public?

I haven't had releases this fast and furious since the last time I overdid it at TacoBell....

I installed the CAB file and no issues.
Thanks. I installed the cab file too and it fixed a couple of things. I was just wondering if it's going to make any difference in the future when they finally release it to everybody.

Odd it's not listed in the fixes here.
It's normal, Microsoft only includes what they consider "key changes" in the changelog, it has happened several times, I remember that some time ago they fixed a quite notorious bug in the Action center and they never mentioned it in the changelog of the CU, the bug had to do with allowing the apps in the background.

Then MS has a somewhat warped sense of "key change".

Has never for me. You will just get no update or a newer CU with more fixes.

True, but at least they fixed it. I'm going to have to update 7 machines at the Senior Activity Center next week. I'll mount the ISO and hope for the best.

Takes extra time BUT I do an image backup first when doing these for my clients.

Oh, yeah! Wouldn't think of it before doing that. Macrium Reflect Free to the rescue!
