That was my whole point. If having a USB attached is preventing it, then slow is better than no.
A workable alternative to getting it installed.
Workable for someone with one or two computers to update. But not for those who have a larger number to update.
I think we should give every alternative available so that the end user has a better understanding of how to get their updates with the least amount of effort and time.

I updated 5 computers using update assistant—ranged from 35 minutes on one to 4.5 hours on the longest time.

Tried Update Assistant several times (all options). Install failed at 55% with error 0x80070003. Tried fixes I could find listed for this error. None worked.
