    Hi,
Why wouldn't an sd card be considered removable storage

Some SD card readers show as populated when they are not.

    Hi,
Probably an issue with 10 auto mounting drives which is one of the first few things I disable.

Not sure. My old W7 lappy never showed this behaviour until I moved it on to W10 but my new W10 lappy reader doesn't show unless there is a card in it.

I was an early adopter of 1903 and updated with several USB devices connected - This was early April before the USB issue was an issue, but all the upgrades worked perfectly

I think it was the .116 CU that caused the problem.

I updated my Laptop running 1809 which has a USB Ethernet dongle for 1gb speed. I joined the Insider RP program and it updated fine. No problems on any updates since. I see they have a fix that is in RP now.

    Cumulative Update KB4497935 Windows 10 v1903 build 18362.145 - May 24

Have you tried the Windows Update Assistant? No external anything required. First option:

    Attachment 234983
The update assistant works, but creating a USB drive to update is much faster - you don't have to download the update EVERY time when using a USB drive.

You can mount the ISO from a flash drive, then go from there.
