AMD GPU and other drivers create AMD directory in C: where they unzip contents of downloaded .exe and install drivers from there. There are some more files in Program and Programs(64) folders which do not get overwritten or deleted when updating drivers. It's better to use DDU to clear older drivers before installing/updating them. That can save few MBs too.
I've done both - Did the DDU when I replaced my Radeon R9 Fury with the RVII. Since then, been doing updates over top of existing versions. No issue.

Anyway I manually delete old unzipped AMD folders no longer in use. That's me.

Me too but others have to be removed with drivers uninstalled.

Yeah I know everyone has different experiences or approaches, I get it. For me though, unless a new GPU, I just update on top of old. Never had an issue. One the other hand I don't use multi-card setups or extravagant tweaks or OC's so in the end for me it doesn't matter.

It's not always possible to just update drivers. For a while it was almost impossible to do it with this GPU and Rx 360 and 460 I had before.

"APPS and Features" is not working. When I open settings
and click on apps it crashes. The funny thing is that when I boot in windows if I try to open apps it will crash. But after waiting about 10, 15 minutes it works normally!!!

Any idea how to fix this?
    Good news:

I unplugged all devices before upgrading, restarted with a clean boot, disabled all non-Microsoft services, disabled fast boot on Power Options, however, none of these measures were able to fix it. Here is the report of SetupDiag:

Guess the only option left is doing a clean install, though I've read several reports on Microsoft Anwsers forums that not even doing a fresh install was able to overcome this issue.
If you decide to do a clean install please make a complete system Image and test boot media to restore.

Myself I would wait. That machine will eventually be converted.

I don't know Mike; honestly, I've been doing updates to existing drivers going back to my ATI 8500LE days back in 02. Rarely have I had an issue. And I've been with AMD (ATI) since NVidia bought out 3dfx.

That said, I would never advise anyone NOT to do a clean driver install, I just never experienced an issue not doing it myself.

I got this: Attachment 234763. Not helpful as to what is causing the problem. Maybe I should create an ISO and do a clean install or just wait?

You could always create a DVD. That is, if your computer isn't so new it doesn't have one anymore.
