Finally got tired of waiting, not getting any action via Windows Update so I used the Windows Update Assistant, mainly to see how it worked as I'd never used it before. Worked perfectly. Process was a twin of Brink's tutorial. Total time was around an hour.

    Went from:

    to:

Everything appears to be intact and working. I'll consolidate my Macrium 1809 backups and move to another folder then start a new full/incremental set for 1903.

Worked out what was wrong with my UUP Dump attempt. Windows Defender doesn't like anything trying to save from the command prompt script. Once Defender is turned off the script runs without error.

!903 showed up for me again yesterday, a full week after I updated the Realtek HD driver.

Honestly speaking I very much expect it's going to be the case here as well.

I contacted Microsoft and I now how I bit of knowledge to actually how this rollout works. It's extremely sensitive to any change done to the computer (and I mean anything), it's heavily based on the telemetry data aswell.
Just for completeness and merely as a confirmation: Realtek drivers were updated on 05/06, invitation to install 1903 re-appeared on 12/06 - so one week later.

    Nope. Still on 18362.30
It's still on 18362.175 as well. I tried to do a repair install to get rid of some file bloat, but it wouldn't work with a USB flash drive. Used a DVD instead with no problems.

There is still a block on Windows Update offering the May 2019 update if you have moved your Known Folders

I'm hoping that's why I have not got it yet as well, I'm also waiting on Windows Update to do it's job.

Why not just get ISO with MCT and mount.

It was supposed to be fixed.

It may be supposed to be fixed, Ken, but I can confirm it ain't! We tried it on a system yesterday and it said it couldn't install Windows 10!

Same here on three systems. Everything OK six days in and all had flash drives plugged in during the upgrade. I did have to update Macrium Reflect afterwards.

One install of mine has been on 1809 since 1-15-19 and after multiple attempts, today, WU offered me 1903 The install was a little different as it hung on "Downloading @ %100" for close to an hour and then started the install. A couple of times during install, the Windows screen would show up and then do a restart. Finally finished and was glad to see that Storage Sense worked and deleted the previous version.

I find Storage Sense a lot quicker at removing windows.old and other temp files than disk cleanup.

Fetched 1903 using "Download and Install Now" and it took awhile. I suspect it takes a little less time for the people leaping from 1809 to 1903, compared to me going from 1803 to 1903.

Got another device i'll update probably tomorrow, and I hope/suspect that device won't take 8 hours from clicking Download and Install Now to Finishing like the first one.

All in all, D&IN beats blindly hitting "Check for Updates"
