My last laptop has been at 83% for so long I think the fall update will be out before it finishes!

I upgraded to 1903 without removing any external HDD and used the Update Assistant:

With regard to leaving Insider Program, I see that everyone is talking about flipping switch or do a clean install. What about the system image backup made before joining it. I think that could also work.

    Windows 10 Pro 1903 build 18362.116 updated without any flaws....sweet !!
Read this post and checked for any updates and got KB4497934 which required a restart. I checked again for any updates and 1903 popped up and ask if I wanted to download and install. It took 35 mins total.
I guess I am one of the lucky ones. Very happy about that.
I will check my other Windows 10 Pro system and Windows 10 Home laptop tomorrow when not in use.
Hoping all others will have same smooth update like me.

    Cheers

I have only received the option to "download and install now" the feature update in the Home version, I still don't see the option in the Pro version, which is normal since the roll out will be slow.

I don't know the configuration of your system, but it worked fine for me.

I've tried it twice this way. First time I got errors that it failed on second boot. Second time, I came in after it had been updating on the grey screen and was met with my regular sign in. No errors, but still on 1809.

I've disconnected everything USB, external sound box, yanked all my USB devices (except my keyboard.), even turned off all my startup software. This is a fairly clean work system, just leaves me scratching my head.

I'm going to wait for the update through the regular WU. Maybe have better luck.
