KB4505057 installed but still gets listed as an available update

I downloaded the Ver1903 ISO and installed it followed by KB4500109 [SSU] & KB4505057 [CU].

When checking for updates afterwards, these were listed & installed - KB4497932 [Flash], KB4495620 [.Net CU]. KB4505057 [CU] was also listed again despite having been installed already.

    - Both PSWU & WUMgr continue to list KB4505057 [CU] as being required.
    - This computer was not tested for Version 1903 by ******* Dell.
    - KB4505057 [CU] is shown in the list of Installed updates so nothing looks unusual.
    - If I try to install KB4505057 [CU] again, it quite sensibly tells me that it has already been installed.
    - I am not an Insider and have straightforward Windows 10 Home x64 Version 1903 Build 18362.116

Has anybody else seen this or anything similar to it?

    Dimitri,

Thanks for replying. Although I had read through this thread I had missed the significance in your post of "although I was on 18362.116" [i.e. that you must have had that CU already] so I just thought you were talking about when it had appeared in your updates list.

I have just this minute finished installing Ver 1903 & the same set of updates on another computer and it also lists KB4505057 [CU] as required despite reporting itself as Windows 10 Home x64 Version 1903 Build 18362.116

I have a third computer to update "tomorrow" so if that has the same symptoms I'll make one attempt to uninstall then reinstall KB4505057 [CU] after which I will probably decide to sit it out & hope the next CU resolves the issue.

Well, had to get rid of mcupdate_GenuineIntel.dll again to get back my overclock. Otherwise no pain, though it looks like a few more background processes are alive ...

    Hi Denis,

There seems to be a glitch with KB4505057.
Either way, I don't think you'll wait that long for a new CU, as there is one released to Insiders Release Preview ring

    Another known issue: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/...date-kb4505057
Windows Sandbox may fail to start with "ERROR_FILE_NOT_FOUND (0x80070002)" on devices in which the operating system language is changed during the update process when installing Windows 10, version 1903. Microsoft is working on a resolution and will provide an update in an upcoming release.
