    As for the 'can't upgrade from a usb' issue. MS seem to have decided it wasn't sufficiently bad to warrant holding back from release. I guess they expect most users to get the update via windows update.
    Does this mean clean installation of 1903 (18362.30) from MCT-created USB drive is likely to fail? I understand it is possible to mount an ISO, or copy its files to a separate partition, and run sources/setup.exe to install, but I would prefer to keep it simple...

    @Brink have you already created these needed reg entries to download?
    I need them after this update installed, it killed my WDAG and I have been trying to get it to work all day, and I just saw this thread, and now I know I'll probably never get it going again without these.

    I'm not so good at creating this stuff from scratch
    Use the credentials of a local admin to create and set the following registry keys on the Host OS then restart the Host:

    [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Containers\CmService\Policy]
    "DisableClone"=dword:00000001
    "DisableSnapshot"=dword:00000001

    No. It only seems to be a problem for an in-place upgrade from a usb. The usb's drive letter gets Setup confused. Booting from the usb should be fine.

    I have previously done a clean install with a usb made from the UUP Dump 18362.30 iso. That had no problems.

    I added a .reg file download in the first post to help for this.

    Thank you Shawn!
    I would rep but as usually it's always in the news forum where help is given, and we can't re(because it probably would get abused, I know)
