Am I the only one who thinks they are releasing the Fast Ring Insider versions too frequently at the moment. I understand need to do it on final run in to release but we are still nearly one year away from release of this version.

Despite everything, we have yet to see any vision of significant improvements.

So I can now tell from Task Manager, I have an SSD! Worthy of a new build in its own right - come on.

A build a fortnight would be fine. More frequently than that at this stage is just a lot of hassle imo.

Where are the new items we really want?

A couple of days after a successful 18995 install I 'cleaned up' my system using "Storage Sense/Configure .. / Free up space now." That 'clean up' appeared to damage something (maybe related to Mouse Without Borders, as I saw a number of error messages related to MWB.) My system was slow to respond, even though CPU load was small. This slow response was not present prior to the 'clean up.'
So I was glad to see an update was available this morning (AU) and initiated the download.
But everything was still very slow, it took over 2 hours to get to asking for a restart.
The restart sequence was different to previous updates (as well as taking at least twice as long as usual.) I saw the usual restarts at about 30% & 75%. after the restart at 75% it progressed to 85%, then restarted again back at 75%. Then progressed to 100% and restarted as normal.
I now have Build 18998.1000, and it appears to have fixed the slow response. I didn't have to run update the 2nd time, as others have. But the whole update procedure took nearly 3 hours, more than twice as long as usual.
Some of updating procedures may have been done twice in the background without you noticing, Some funny things happen if you look at Task manager.

Can't say I think much of the new explorer search. Clicking on the items does nothing except close the list.

First time Update in 36 minutes even though screen blanked out at 40% installing....Had to press stop button and restart...Fortunately opened up back at 40%....Have adjusted time out in Power and Sleep...in case that was the reason.

I can't find it Kari. It was a popup asking my opinion.

    Hi folks

VMWare users -- this build works fine as a HOST too -- provided you updated VMWare to the 16.1.0 release (yesterday / day before I think it became available) - both player and WKS were updated.

Finally also Language features working properly on this build including the start menus etc - 895 build gave a hopeless miasma of random English bits as well and the whole settings menu were always in English. (Assuming Eng was the main Windows version installed).
