Added benefit..... you should reboot after DISM work anyway, so going back to Normal Boot takes care of that step.
I have noticed that also. That is why I found this error very strange since it doesn't show up in Safe Mode. I was trying to find out if MS has already addressed this issue. Apparently, they haven't yet.

It's just a locked component open by something that isn't open in Safe Mode. MS wording is typical Crypto-babble.

Just got the update on my system, here's hoping it fixes the search results box problem I had on the KB4495667 (OS Build 17763.475) update.

I let the PC stay over night and it auto-updated to this without any problems today. No errors, duplicates (2) or redownloads, unless it happens later?

Another words for those who use sites like Download.com, Softpedia, Filehippo and such(I only trust MajorGeeks, because Mr. Tibbots and Co. test it in VMs) might want to think about it.

I don't know if you were being facetious, but your previous comment about Intel supposedly saying that disabling Hyper-Threading won't help that much was misleading. All Intel said was that disabling Hyper-Threading won't by itself mitigate the vulnerabilities. Intel is never going to recommend disabling Hyper-Threading.

If anyone is interested, the following video from Red Hat explains why 2 of the 4 vulnerabilities can't be completely mitigated if Hyper-Threading is enabled.

No I wasn't being facetious, I guess it was one of those responses that comes across better in person than when written

I thought maybe you oversaw that part, is all.

Unfortunately your link doesn't work it takes me to the top of page 3 the post number is right but there is a difference before the html# part. This one will take you to post #71

Yours is has a different suffix after 8. : https://www.tenforums.com/windows-10...-503-may-14-a-8.html#post1633210

    Where mine doesn't even have the 8. : https://www.tenforums.com/windows-10-news/132559-cumulative-update-kb4494441-windows-10-v1809-build-17763-503-may-14-a-post1633210.html#post1633210"

    Not sure what happened there?
Hi Steve...and please don't thank me for giving you the credit you deserve!!
BTW, the link in my post works from my end. It takes me to your post #71.
    I think that's something that needs John's @z3r010 attention.

Not having a good day with this update. Yesterday it installed fine but the Windows build didn’t change, I ran update today & it found the same update & tried to install but it’s failing - it downloads, installs but fails after the restart.
I’m going to hide this re-update.
