Apparently there is a .502 after all - it's the HoloLens version....

This release also contains updates for Microsoft HoloLens (OS Build 17763.502) released May 14, 2019

    @EdKiefer
Open ISE as admin and run
    Install-Module SpeculationControl

Then open the script you downloaded.
To be sure you nabbed the right one here is the right one(I renamed it for ease of finding it in Documents)

Why is Google disabling Hyper-Threading in Chrome OS if these new speculative execution side-channel vulnerabilities are not that serious? That's a pretty drastic step for Google to take.

    Thanks Dimitri!

Unfortunately your link doesn't work it takes me to the top of page 3 the post number is right but there is a difference before the html# part. This one will take you to post #71

Yours is has a different suffix after 8. : https://www.tenforums.com/windows-10...-503-may-14-a-8.html#post1633210

    Where mine doesn't even have the 8. : Cumulative Update KB4494441 Windows 10 v1809 Build 17763.503 - May 14

didn't work, its not signed and I ran Set-ExecutionPolicy RemoteSigned -Scope Currentuser
    to yes
not sure what the heck is wrong, spent hrs now trying things.
Thanks for help though, I think I am just going to disable them anyway with 3/3 values in reg.
I just wanted lastest script loaded but i guess 0.12 will have to due.

Because they didn't get the memo from Intel saying disabling SMT(HT) won't help that much anyhow
Is Intel recommending that I disable HT?
No. Intel is not recommending that users disable Intel® Hyper threading. It’s important to understand that doing so does not alone provide protection against MDS, and may impact workload performance or resource utilization that can vary depending on the workload.

Google seems to be saying that the mitigations won't work with Hyper-Threading enabled. Ubuntu is essentially saying the same thing. It's all very confusing.

You need to read the whole article, and not skim.

    Mitigation
For products where MDS is not addressed in hardware, Intel is releasing processor microcode updates (MCU) as part of our regular update process with OEMs. These are coupled with corresponding updates to operating system and hypervisor software.

When these mitigations are enabled, minimal performance impacts are expected for the majority of PC client application based benchmarks. Performance or resource utilization on some data center workloads may be affected and may vary accordingly.

Once these updates are applied, it may be appropriate for some customers to consider additional steps. This includes customers who cannot guarantee that trusted software is running on their system(s) and are using Simultaneous Multi-Threading (SMT). In these cases, customers should consider how they utilize SMT for their particular workload(s), guidance from their OS and VMM software providers, and the security threat model for their particular environment. Because these factors will vary considerably by customer, Intel is not recommending that Intel® HT be disabled, and it’s important to understand that doing so does not alone provide protection against MDS.
Another words for those who use sites like Download.com, Softpedia, Filehippo and such(I only trust MajorGeeks, because Mr. Tibbots and Co. test it in VMs) might want to think about it.
