Shawn has a thread on it, too. MS trying to put some small 3rd party houses out of business?

Microsoft PowerToys rebooted in open source for Windows 10
I totally missed this one when it was issued by Shawn.

You are talking about this article I have just read from ZDNet. To tell the truth, I don't know what to make of this new idea from MS as of yet.

Yes, that article from ZDNet - don’t really recall PowerToys, do you? Been a long time since win95.

I honestly don't. Really started in the computing business at the time of Vista. I know I was really late...

Nrink;GSOD and failed on 1st attempt. Trying again.

Is there a reason you are using WU rather than updating from a UUPDUMP ISO? I'm updating using the ISO on an instance running as a VM in a ESXi VM. I may download the ISO to use in gnome-boxes or try again with VirtualBox.

Power Toys very popular with Windows 3.0. I've always used Image Resizer and still do.

25 minutes from checking Windows Updates to desktop with a few reboots after to sort things out.

    Pleasantly uneventful update so far.

    Peace

Cortana works normally, missing tiles were reinstalled before upgrading. It wasn't slow, but we did not beat a record: 22minutes (setup.exe), 15 for the ISO extraction. We do not have the FE feature.

Got this build to work in Gnome-Boxes with the proper link this time. One click install:
    openSUSE Software
    Code:
    rpm -qa | grep -i gnome-boxes
    gnome-boxes-lang-3.32.0.2-1.1.noarch
    gnome-boxes-3.32.0.2-1.1.x86_64
Not that fast, but acceptable for Tumbleweed and faster-easier than VMware.

OK, color setting it is! Thanks everyone. Before considering how this discrepancy could occur, I never would have believed that you could dictate the color used on a setup screen outside of Windows.

I thought I was the only one left on earth that used that! (last thing I made was an Avatar)
