Thanks @Cliff S, but it was the only logical choice. Given a free hand, no deadline pressures, and no last minute bugs discovered the third Tuesday has been Microsoft's preferred day. And with a month in RP MS made sure there were no surprises to delay this launch.

MS don't seem to like releasing a new Features Update on Patch Tuesday, two releases on the same day is too much work for their business customers to handle.

1809's release (twice) was a mess, 1803 was rushed out half finished on the last day of April just so it's name as the 'April 2018 Update' didn't look too silly. The last orderly release was for 1709. That was on Tuesday October 17, 2017 - the 3rd Tuesday of the month, exactly a week after Patch Tuesday.

Crikey I remember Clippy, at least I think it was called that. I had clippy when I had Windows 98. But he seemed more animated. He used to tap his head on the screen to let you he was there or you could get rid of him (It), with a simple click. Thing is, I can't remember what his function was and why the heck I downloaded it. I think it was because it was gimmicky! I do remember that it didn't always work properly. Is Clippy still around these days then or long gone now??

Clippy was the default (and most annoying) of the Office Assistants in MS Office 98. At the launch of MS Office XP Microsoft ran an ad campaign joking that 'XP' stood for 'ex-paper clip'.

    And Microsoft Bob.

EDIT: Not to mention Donkey on IBM PC DOS 1.00 coded by His Holiness Bill Gates himself.

UUPDump is very safe. I have been using 1903 from there for over a month. Updated to a most recent version of 1903 from there also.
