Patch Tuesday, Good Friday or even Black Saturday......as long as there's no surprises like there was with 1809 , then i'll be content.

1809 worked perfectly for well over 97% of all computers, the problem was very rare but serious enough for Microsoft to address. Was your system one of the very few that the bug hit?

It was my father's pc that suffered some data loss. It wasn't data that was ultra critical, but enough to create extra work for him. On the plus side, it convinced him to purchase the NAS box i'd been talking about for the last year or so.

1809 worked perfectly for me from the day it was (first) released at the beginning of October. The problem that led to it being withdrawn and relaunched in November can arguably be put down to Microsoft's bizarre decision to skip testing 1809 in the Insider Release Preview Ring before the first abortive launch.

MS seem to have learned their lesson. 1903 has spent the last month in the Release Preview Ring so should have been thoroughly tested by the time it is launched.

    Hi there
OK but if you do wait till it's officially available I would expect the Ms servers to be massively overloaded judging by past experiences with Windows new releases / major updates.

There's nothing to lose by trying current 19H1 (1903) -- I don't expect there to be significant changes when it's RTM'd

    Cheers

I have the latest via Release Preview, Jimbo. And when Microsoft announces its availability, I'll probably already have it installed through RP.

I'm thinking the official 1903 release will likely be 18362.30 and there will be a CU available once it's installed.
Nah. I'm on Insider RP and I'm up to .113, Larc.

Will this be the final release build?

Probably not. Could be one or two more Cumulative Updates . . . or three . . . only the Shadow knows for sure . . .
