Did the updated settings homepage not make it? mine still shows the old version.

My laptop has it, but not the desktop. Both on build 18894.

    • Thank you for all of the feedback you provided on Friendly Dates in File Explorer. At this time, we’ve decided not to roll out Friendly Dates to users as part of the 19H1 release. Insiders will see this option go away starting today, regardless of build number.

Still browsing this list and it's perhaps old grumpy me, but I cannot see anything glorious beaming there that otherwise and under normal circumstances would attract me to get my OS updated.

The only item worth considering is item 57 - ability to pause updates - which (I'm guessing) Microsoft is adding rather reluctantly despite limitations of this particular implementation:

What is new for Windows 10 May 2019 Update version 1903

But seriously: does that really require OS upgrade? I would think Windows Update engine refresh would cover it?

Otherwise all these various GUIs updates, fonts, naturally Emojis (so important that they are added twice!) and the like - it's mere lick of paint here and there I'm afraid. I gather that overall GUI will remain as inconsistent as it currently is, and - for example - one will still need to use both Settings App and Control Panel (latter preferred) to achieve what one wants.

    So: not impressed at all.
    Not even Windows sandbox ?

But I think he's talking about version 1903 (build 18362), I also don't have the header on any of the devices where I installed the version 1903 (build 18362).

I'm assuming it eventually will be available to all. This below was from 18305. I haven't seen anything yet saying it was pulled. Time will tell.

"Some of you may have already seen this in previous builds, but don’t worry if not, we’re continuing to roll this out slowly and you will see it in an upcoming build."

Ha! Would love to see it tested and working in practice, meanwhile will get my shovel, rake and bucket and go building my sandcastles elsewhere.

Yes, a Microsoft engineer had said the same about "friendly dates":
What is new for Windows 10 May 2019 Update version 1903-fd.png
Precisely in another forum I recently commented that Microsoft at any time could decide not to release another of the features that have been tested in the insiders builds, the automatic expansion of the navigation panel (Start menu), this also applies to the header, at any moment they could decide not to release that feature in version 1903, just as they decided not to release the "friendly dates" in this version.

Glad to see that one go away, didn't like it at all.
